ABOUT ME

I moved to New York in 2001 to pursue musical theatre which took me in and out of town and to the other side of the world and back again. From 2001 to 2014 I lived in 27 different apartments in New York. Whew. I’m actually writing a book about it!

In 2010, I got my first pro camera and brought a few friends up to my roof for test shots. My agent saw those photos on Facebook and sent some clients my way. Anna Ty Bergman Photography was born!

By the way (in case you were wondering), Ty is short for my real middle name: Thai Binh. One client recently asked if Ty stood for “thank you” which made my day.

I love to collaborate— Shall we?

ABOUT YOUR SHOOT

Before we shoot, we’ll chat about what makes you YOU. You are uniquely beautiful and I want to capture that!

We’ll keep the mood relaxed and playful, listening to your favorite music inside and laughing through the adventure of shooting outside. Indoors or out, we’ll find your light.

More info here. (and feel free to reach out with any questions!)

“The things that make you strange are the things that make you powerful.” -Ben Platt

Shooting with Anna is such a relaxing and comforting experience. Her humor and calm are so rare and welcomed, and her down to earth personality instantly puts her subject at ease. She is an artist herself, so she knows how to reveal the best of a fellow artist.

-Morgan James, Broadway and recording artist

Anna's eye is creative and focused, and she has a nearly supernatural relationship to the light. She knows how to make her subject feel relaxed, confident, and ready to be seen. I got two great head-shots from our last session. Happily I am in need of new shots, and I can't wait for my next shoot with Anna Ty Bergman!
